This is actually my most complimented fragrance ever no cap. As it says in the name VIP you're really going to smell like the most important person where ever you are. It just has an rich intoxicating aroma. I'll describe it as fresh and sweet.

Recently pulled the trigger on this one because the price has finally come down a bit over the years. I'm very happy with it. It's fruity but not overly sweet like 1 Million which I never liked anyway. This one is a little more refined and a little classier than most other clubbing fragrances. The gin note is interesting and actually really goes well with the exotic fruit scent. Performance for me was very good well over 12 hours.

CH 212 VIP is an early 2010's era clubbing fragrance that is in essence sweet citrusy booze, on top of more booze, served on a sweet amber platter. I would compare this fragrance to another fragrance that held itself as the king of clubbing fragrances in the 2010's, JPG Ultra Male - as it's sweetness is the primary component in "standing out" from the crowd in a club. The scent is enjoyable, however, I don't think it carries the same appeal it maybe once did. I would pass in favor of something less dated - 5/10

I worn this for a full day and it stays on skin for 8h. Unfortunately it definitely smells like something you could buy in Zara for a third of the price. Not one I'd buy but if you want a long lasting Zara smell this is for you.

I didn’t know what to expect from this fragrance, a good friend of mine referred this fragrance to me and it seemed very intriguing so I bought it.

And oh boy, this fragrance is very, very good.

I would describe the scent as a chilled, lime/grapefruit-ish cocktail, with the masculine wood notes to balance it out. I know that sounds a bit odd, but it’s extremely pleasing, it really does capture the night life/club experience.

The projection is not too overbearing either, sort of intimate if you ask me.

I would also describe it as a grittier One Million by Paco Rabanne.

I would HIGHLY recommend this fragrance, worth the blind purchase!

Reminds me of coconut oil shampoo. Nice, but too familiar.

I'm not picking up on any passion fruit, and my bottle is just around 2-3 years old (batch wise).
However, still super potent, long lasting, and quite a fall-like fragrance. Feels quite warm and smells cinammony.
Nothing too special, but a great fragrance for what's proposing.

When Herrera remodeled these bottles last year, they reformulated this fragrance. The formula was reworked and some notes were omitted. It no longer has that exquisite passionfruit opening, but still has the finger lime & vodka. The new version is good, but the old formulation was incredible. I have bottles of both versions. It's still a good performer, but the old version used to be Beastly. No matter what version you can get a hold of, I recommended trying this thing out. Herrera's website has the current note breakdown.

Back in the days this had a monster performance.

Best smell for a party/club fragrance to me.

this is one of the only perfumes ive ever gotten a headache from. everytime i smell it up close i get a headache without fail. its warm spicy, kind of powdery almost. almost smells like coconut. could see it work for others, not for me though.

I pretty much love everything from CH, and this is no exception. Although after spraying this the other day, it took me back to my teens and then it hit me. It reminds me a lot of the Diesel Plus Plus milk bottle spray that I wore religiously back in the day lol. Also, how this fragrance doesn’t have more summer/daytime votes is baffling to me as it’s absolutely perfect for summer/daytime use in my opinion.

If vodka smelled nice it would be this. It smells like a lime cocktail, fresh, spicy and a bit sweet. Playful scent, great for night outs and parties, performance also is great.

I feel like this one does not project or last long which is unlike other reviews. Personally I thought this is very unsatisfactory it definitely smelt like vodka but that wears away very quickly. Also the fact it’s vodka seems strange as personally I don’t think smelling like vodka is a particularly good thing! Definitely get a sample before buying as you may like it like many others but personally I disagree and wasn’t keen!

A dangerous combination of being both very strong and easy to go anosmic to. Projects 2-3m (6-9 ft) for at least two hours. Resist the urge to overspray. Give it 3-5 sprays for a night out and then forget about it. Scent itself is nice; fruity, spicy, and boozy, dries to a warm amber/leather/wood combo. Works basically any time of year. I think of this as Aventus’ drunk frat boy cousin

Unique, yet a people-pleaser.

I enjoy this one it’s a nice spicy fruity not too sweet club scent. Seems a little more mature compared to one million. I have an older bottle of this and it last a long time. I’m guessing they must have reformulated this at some point hence the discrepancy in longevity. But hey what’s new.. 7.5/10

What a nice fragrance. Beautiful, party, dance, night out fragrance. But the performance is so poor, i get less than 30min of projection, no silage and in an hour its gone. So disappointing because it really does smell nice.

This was probably my best blind-buy, as I was intrigued by vodka note. I own a huge bottle (200ml) since last september, and every now and then I come back to use this fragrance in between of testing others. Oh my god, I'm lost for that smell! It may sound weird regarding fragrance I wear myself, but I feel it's so sexy. I love every aspect - it's sweet though not clogging, boozy, minty, sonewhat fruity and this just blends so damn fine into nearly a perfect fragrance...

...except for one thing - longetivity. It's just dissolving from my skin after nearly 3 hours, I can't even sniff it off my wrists at all after that period. Not sure if it's a matter of skin pH or what, but I feel anytime i find perfumes that I love, they are evaporating in no time, while those I have hard time with (vanilla based with fruit) are there usually until the next day, am I cursed or what? I'm not worried for it's legitimacy as I bought it at trusted store. I already tried to macerate it for one month with no significant results, next step would be layering it with some molecules (not sure which will work the best, but I will try few). Maybe I just have to overspray it, not being a sissy sprayer as some Curlies say haha.

The bottle i own is 2022 batch, so looking at the votes for longetivity here (with majority on long lasting), was it reformulated so badly at some point? As some people in the comment section mentioned - this seems to be a clubbing scent, so maybe it will come alive in warmer months (as I'm rather not clubbing person myself), fingers crossed if that's its original purpose.

If u told me that 212 VIP was created by Russian perfumer called Sasha or Masha, i would believe hands down..
That doesn't mean i don't love it by any mean of the word..i do love it sooo much, the perfect scent for clubbing and night time hanging out
212 VIP also performs like a beast, easily +8 hours longevity, projects very well first 3 hours making a bubble around u 6 feet or even more

It's weird how the alcoholic notes are gone in minutes. Then the blue scent kicks in in a smooth cloying way. I hate to say this but I am getting Sauvage-ish vibes from here.
I have high expectations for this perfume but I-

I got a 2020 batch and I feel that it is watered down as it dissipates early.

On my skin the mid is vaguely reminiscent of Sliver Mountain Water.

Cinnamon and pepper are clearly there. Sweet and creamy. It reminds me to 1 Million Intense, but this is better.

Sweet, spicy and fresh fragrance.
Performance is at the best în spring, fall and summer night. I'm talking about 8 hours on my skin with decent 2 hours projection.

This is nice. Fresh, not overly sweet, a bit green. It’s pleasant for hot days but nothing groundbreaking.

The amount of interactive genitalia gulping this got me in high school was undoubtedly crazy.

Fruity, sweet opening but mixed with richer and darker notes. The citrus and ginger is very noticeable in the opening. The dry down is fruits, spices and woods and amber. I'm not getting much leather honestly but it's there if you're searching for it specifically. I'm not getting much of the vodka or gin either. The mint smells sweeter to me than herbal. Synthetic, but not necessarily in a bad way.

Presentation is nice, silver metal look with a magnetic cap. I got a tester for about $40, and for that price, it's very worth it. I get maybe 5-7 hours depending on weather. Projection and sillage are not strong outside the first hour.....but that is typical for this brand. Good for most ages and weather conditions other than overly hot summers.

Likeable if you like slightly sweeter fragrances with a little darker depth on the dry down.

Not quite what I was expecting. I was hoping for a fresh citrusy cocktail accord, but if there is any alcohol to compare it to, I'd say it's Bailey's or even Frangelico to my nose, after the drydown. Creamy, a little sugary, and a bit nutty... I guess coming from the leather note combined with ginger or amber?
Anyway, the more I smell it, the more I like it. Since I'm not a clubbing person I'm not sure when I would wear it, so not full-bottle worthy for me yet. Maybe for when I'm more settled and I throw some parties.

Good night fragrance for club. I'm anosmic to this so far, 5 minutes and I can't smell it. I think is a good perfume especially when you buy it with a good discount. 8/10

This is my all-time signature scent from high school and i have so many memories tied to it. I always come back to this because in the end i always realise that it suits me the best. However i think there was some kind of reformulation around 4-5 years ago because the original box of this was black and now its silver. i also noticed some changes in the scent when i got one as a gift with the silver box. it somehow had less character and worse longevity and sillage. Maybe it was just a faulty batch because my recent one is performing better. As i said my only problem with this is the performance. The scent itself is just the best imo.

Smells like sparkling water, all mineral and bubbly, and the steam rising from the fresh ironed shirts, like grey weather and spicy, dry gin. As a person who loves English aesthetic but has never been there, my mind goes straight to pubs, classy suits, Kingsman franchise, umrellas and even English countryside. It smells dry as it also smells creamy, creamy as in Bvlgari notte. Not that they smell similar, it's just that it has facial cream undertone. I used a few bottles of the original 212 back when I was a teenager even though it is a masculine perfume. I do not smell original 212 in this one.

Still a banging drop. I’ve owned a number of CH frags. 212 VIP and 212 VIP Black are my favourites.

This stuff comes alive on my skin. Easily 8-10 hours with 3-4 sprays. Longer if I happen to hit my clothes while spraying.

Projection is moderate. I still get the occasional whiff toward the end of the day if I spray around 6am.

The notes I pick up the most are the lime, spices, mint, pepper, ginger and gin. If I really try, I can faintly pick up the vodka, but it smells more juniper/gin to my nose. Still a way to go to really train my nose.

Anyway, this thing will always have a place in my frag-cab.

I don’t understand why people don’t like this fragrance.
To me it’s amazing I love it I have smelt the other 212 but they smell cheap and yuck.
VIP is one of my favourites and it last all day.

This fragrance has a dominant tone, reminiscent of the smell of ink in blue ballpoint pens. This tone is revealed by vodka and Gin liquor. Contrary to what is thought, it creates a sugary aromatic feeling.

This fragrance will make you feel sporty and luxurious, but is generally suitable for men under 35. It is not like a scent for a businessman and a boss according to occupational groups. The reason for this is not that the fragrance is of poor quality, but that the user base is mostly composed of young men and the types who hang out in the party mood. This fragrance is truly magnificent.

Kneeling in front of everyone and showered with compliments, the scent of "Orto Parisi Megamare" feels like it has the notes of 212 VIP fragrances. Both scents have a unique scent reminiscent of ink.

It stays on fabric for more than 8 hours. Projection and Sillage are high. It stays on the skin for up to 5 hours.

This has been my signature fragarance since it was released. The first moment I smelled 212 VIP MEN I just knew "this is me"... so roll on over the years and we are at the stage where I have had lots of other fragrances I fell in love with and made my 'fragrance du jour' for a while. The last two days I have gone back to this as it represents me so much I feel extra confidence and assurity when wearing it, something I was unsure of whether I had kept hold of after a series of things in my life which had changed my perceptions.

But today, literally just minutes ago, I got the best compliment from a woman I have ever had about this fragrance!
"not fresh but - clean but not crisp... smooth, something with a punch that makes me notice it"...
"...hmm..."
"This smells like a shark..."
"Oh..." said I... "like a 'shark' shark?... like a dangerous shark with teeth?"

"Yes, but a sexy shark!"... "I dunno, ... powerful but sleek, you know?... like it cuts through the air smooth to your nose but it has a massive devastating hit on you?..."


So yes, after that this is firmly back in my fragrance wardrobe as of today.

Dateler, eğlenceler ve bar/club ortamlarına uygun. 20 yaş üzeri ve 50 yaş altı. Kör alışa ve hediyeye çok uygun.

I recently came across my Vintage 2011 Bottle of 212 MEN VIP w/ cubic magnetic cap & was floored by just how Truly Unique this Fragrance is. 212 VIP's Passion Fruit n Semi Spicy Dry Vodka Accord immediately drew me in. This would make a Fantastic Fragrance for a Date Night Out Where You Will Be w/ Others like a Party or Night Out w/ A Group of Friends. 212 VIP would also make a fantastic club fragrance because of it's playful scent profile essentially making it light years ahead of other gross syrupy sweet loud Obnoxious Club Scents. This a Fantastic Men's Fragrance w/ Gorgeous Passion Fruit Note, Dry Vodka Mid & Spicy Base.

Refined Woods David Beckham is decent clone of that. I love the orginal tho.

Projection is very good at least for first hour , honestly, I can't smell any fragrance I wear after several minutes of wearing it , but worth this one , I got complements within the first hour of wearing it and from about 2 metres away ,with about 3 to 5 sprays
Longevity is quite good, a I can smell it on my wrist after more than 7 hours

Nice smell, very good longevity, I sprayed it for more than 10 hrs now , and still can smell it on my hand which I washed about 5 times ..

Smells like Mojito. I love that fragrance, and it brings back a lot of good memories for me.

Starts out sweet and berry like, dries down a little more masculine. Very similar to Ed Hardy Born Wild and Bentley Momentum intense. I don't get the One Million vibe from this.

Smells nothing like 1 million 😂 idk why it gets compared to it. 1 million is super sweet. I mean it’s a Paco Rabanne 💁🏻♂️ 212 VIP has a sweet boozy vibe perfect for cool weather but mot too strong to where you can’t wear in the transitional seasons (Fall & Spring). Very nice fragrance 👌🏽

Anyone who thinks that this smells similiar to 1 million needs to have a nose check-up! They just associate far different scents due to similiar marketting. This is the reason why you should not take most reviews here seriously.

These fragrances are not even remotely similiar. 1 million is bright, this one is dark. 1 million is candy sweet, this one is sour sweet. 1 million has very strong cinnamon, rose and grapefruit in the foreground. None of those notes are present in 212 VIP.

Only drydowns may be comperable (but not similiar).

Closely, it's smell like fruity voka punch(a favourite cocktail on europe eastern).it isn't so aggressive since it's a booze vide so it would be out of favor for someone. Just enjoy this like a fresh and cheery cocktail type of liquor.

Similar to 1 Million but I think this is a little more versatile and more wearable in more situations. For me, having both is redundant.

One of my top 5 fragrance. Absolutely amazing. I'm not really good in describing the notes. All what I can say is this is a sweet fragrance. Longevity is great. For matured men, yes, you can give it a try.

Pure sexiness and seductiveness in a bottle. When I smell this fragrance I imagine a guy that wears all black everything, nice fitted black polo, some quality pants, and black leather sneakers. I'm absolutely in love with this fragrance . The opening is citrusy, peppery, and sweet (the opening of the scent can make you fall in love with this fragrance ). The heart of the fragrance is boozy mint with a bit of spice, in the dry-down, the fragrance turns into a sweet woody kinda smells like Versace eros but boozy and better.

The performance is great easy 10 hours and sillage and projection is over the moon . In my opinion you can wear this to any occasion and every situation especially when you are with that sexy senorita ( you know what I mean ;D)

Well I guess I could say 212 VIP Men has a variety of notes, but to sum it up, could say...
Top Notes: Boozy with passionfruit aroma
Middle Notes: Boozy with a minty spicy vibe
Base notes:Ambery and still a bit boozy
If you're into Pure XS by Paco Rabanne and you like the boozy cola vibe, then this one will take you to the next level.
Still, it's a very pleasant scent, the passionfruit note is quite noticeable and despite of the spirit drink vibe, don't let the vodka or the gin notes fool you, because the drydown gets minty ambery sweet, but not oversweet, therefore it won't offend anyone.
Most people say it's a clubbing or a night out fragrance and they are correct, but to me, it's pretty versatile as well. You can pull this one anywhere you like, even at the office, in case you wake up in "what a drag" mode to merry things hopefully, but don't push it.
The force of longevity of this guy is also strong, you will sense it throughout the day, 8 to 9 hours for sure and it's affordable too.

This is so similar to vintage Black XS it's not even funny. Same sour passion fruit strawberry cotton candy thing but this has gin instead of chocolate patchouli.

This fragrance is really hard to pull off. Smells very sweet and cloying the first hour of application, I think for clubbing there are better options out there, fortunately only bought the small bottle.

Smells great, good performance and quite cheap. I don't know why this fragrance is hated so much. Good for me I guess, price will remain low at discounters and they'll keep having it in stock.

The perfume smells average! mostly Passionfruit, Pepper, Spices, and Amber, it's smelled kinda nice nightlife bird, you can wear it for a week or two and change it with other perfume for a break. It's a smell for everyone you can't hate it, you get kinda amazing feeling when you wear it then in 30 mins your feeling is gone, and you want to wear it again to feel the same.

BUT.. it last 3 hours at most on my skin.
Even when you overspray this (10-15 times) after an hour becomes a skin scent and after few more hours its gone.

212 VIP Men is a very pleasant fragrance, with warm and fresh notes.

It starts very fresh and fruity, with a tropical touch and spicy by ginger and citrus. It feels a bit aquatic, maybe it has elements that the original 212 had. After a while it becomes warmer and more spicy, although it never becomes cloying, as it always retains that rare vibe of freshness. At the end you get to distinguish the leather a bit, which reminded me of some phases of Ch Men Prive from the same house as Carolina Herrera.

Many compare it to 1 million, but 212 VIP is less sweet and more versatile.

I like it for cool days, outings with friends, in autumn or winter.

Its duration was very good, more than 12 hours, although it only projected well the first 2 hours.

When I smelled it it just wow , but it is very weak

Not my type of scent at all, I regret even buying a sample... I was curious about the supposed boozy-vodka-fruity-drink smell, but all I get is an almost gourmand scent, in the same vibe as a previous review said: "dry down gorgeous vanilla with white chocolate". But I don't find it gorgeous at all... Maybe because vanilla, chocolate and coconut sweetness are kind of my least favorite notes in perfumery (even though they aren't listed notes, maybe it's the leather-amber-passionfuit with a "je ne sais quois" that to me resembles that). This perfume's notes list was one of the most deceptive ones I ever saw... What I imagined by the notes and the "boozy" description, this is not it. In my skin it's like this creamy smooth sweet smell over something clean like 212 NYC Men in the backgroud... It doesn't work, and I associate this "VIP" smell with cheap female "coconutish" body-lotion. 212 NYC Men is a million times better than this... Actually I find the rest of the 212 series so bad that it makes it almost cringeworthy to like the 212 NYC Men, but a perfume exists by itself and our taste must not be influenced by these things.

Contrary to its name, it does not necessarily stand out in a club setting but at the workplace this is a fresh and sharp stand out scent. You will instantly smell sophisticated yet not aggressive - smelling it reminds you of a tame version of Fahrenheit by Dior. Like when a proper young man raised by a dad who wears Fahrenheit decides to make a name for himself but eagerly does his best to be out of Daddy's shadow but just in case he needs help, he will name drop Daddy or ask Daddy's contacts for help. Alas, VIP. The night time party boy with his own table and bottled service yet a day time junior exec in charge of a tiny non impacting - non revenue generating part of Daddy's enterprise - the lil boy VIP. Girls will know you are rich and fresh, they would know you have a name and quite a taste but sadly not man enough for the gold diggers. Perfect for the Gen Z or Millenial one night stands after clubbing or pub after work.

the smell has nothing similar with 1 million except the sweetnes.

i got compilments in first day spraying this and that was incredible. all my classmates were talking about whose perfume was that. you can spray it as many as you want .it wont disturb others. thats what 1 millon can't do.

A really pleasing, spicy, boozy club scent. The ginger and passionfruit stand out at first, with the clean bite of vodka just underneath. Over time, the amber and leather come through and end up remaining for a surprisingly long drydown.

As I mentioned, this is perfect for a club or fun party setting. To be honest, and this isn't necessarily a negative, I can't imagine where else it would be appropriate. 7.5/10

I sprayed this, Y edp, salvatore ferragamo uomo signature and trussardi Riflesso on my arms and this is the one that stood out, mostly for the insane projection and beast longevity, at the 1st hour it's boozy sweet then the boozines goes away and you're left with a dessert like sweetness (reminded me of 1 million).

It lasted 2x to 3x longer than the other ones (Y edp was the first one to fade)
and was projecting HEAVILY for 4 hours, and didn't become a skin scent until after the 7h mark! And stayed like that for 10+ hours, This is one of the best performing fragrances I've encountered no doubt.

11/10 for the performance of this one!

At first I wasn't too sure with this one. All I could smell was yet another Lacoste Live / Hollister Festival Vibes / Penguin Reserve. It doesn't particularly smell like any of these but my nose was suffering from sniff fatigue. I had to leave it and go back, and I'm glad I did.
It's one of those scents that doesn't change. What's there at first sniff is still there at the end of the day. What I get is the alcohol, obviously. Whether this is gin or vodka is not relevant; it's just an astringent ozonic binder to hold the other smells together. The other smells are really nice. You have a spicy creamy fruitiness. Not passionfruit, more citrusy cooking apples. There's no vanilla or tonka bean here but the warm sweetness is there. I have no idea what kind of amber has been used but that is certainly there with the musky warmth. As for the ginger and mint they sort of cancel each other out. All these smells, all mixed up together, all a little bit synthetic, they all sort of work. The fact that they all compete keeps the smell alive. My only slight concern is that harsh alcohol smell that binds it, but that's a minor complaint. This isn't quite in my top ten but it's certainly an "I Love It".
Sillage is moderate. Longevity very good at about 12 hours.

This used to be my signature scent back in college. I was young and got time to chase the hottest chicks on campus. And hey, I was powerful among the guys too. I got tons of compliment from the ladies and some occasional what are you wearing from the guys. Really nice memories with this one. That was like 5years back. Now in 2020 we got into the real world, mature fierce and brutal. Everybody is in a world of his own and wants to be not just seen and heard but feared. I'm talking boardroom meetings. What chances does 212 vip stand in there?. It stands like a bright but really polite intern. When some executive ladies wear some powerful ouds, then you can imagine...

I find the opening quite fruity fresh with a biscuit sweet undertone, but it evolves into a sweet true oriental scent, much sweeter than the notes above would suggest. I do not think the notes listed above are right. It is very sweet and smells quite strongly of tonka bean/cinnamon, both as for the scent itself and as for the texture. Actually, the notes above would not classify it as oriental, classification which I think is right. Contrarily to the votes above, I find the ginger note very preeminent and what gives this fragrance its particular character and contributes most to the difference between this and scents like 1 million. This ginger note, like in Hugo Boss the scent absolue, has a coconutish scent. Must be the molecule they use these days for a ginger like creamy scent. That note aside, I actually find the drydown very similar to 1 million, which, most likely, was the inspiration for this scent. For that reason, I give 212 VIP almost 0 in originality.I also wish it were stronger. I like it better than 1 million, though. Well, it should, since it is not the first attempt.

Just bought this few days ago.. Time for final conclusion. Smell definitely sweet as 1 million but not exactly like it just by add some vodka or alcoholic vibe in it. This is consider more versatile and a safe blind buy....projection are decent, but the longevity of it is superb(i mean I still could smell it on my jacket I sprayed it 3 days ago. I could say man and woman will love this for sure.. Oh ya.. This could be all day round fragrance..u can rock this babe through the year

Dry gin opening, first thought it was alcohol blast. it isn't. it's like when you sip Gin from the glass plus the mint.
5 minutes Turns into sweet sour waxy lipsticky feel ( in a good way ) reminds of creamy coconut. passion fruit are the main player.
its not loud when you wear for the office but if you sweat a lot this thing became beast mode. I think thats the reason vip men categorized for clubbing scent.

So this one is an interesting one. I grabbed this as a very adventurous blind buy. I like different scents and not boring freshies or blues.

So after a lot of people saying this is a young clubbing scent that usually means it's just interesting.

So I grabbed this for $40 at Marshall's it's the This is a private party version.

So first impressions the bottle is pretty and I like the magnetic cap.

Spraying it first impressions are sort of sweet but has interesting bitter boozy notes mixed in. It's an interesting cocktail of scents. Girlfriend says it definitely smells nice. Not her favorite but definitely nice. I would wear this on a day out, as a fun day scent. Not professional, not sure if date night depending on who you are with. Definitely not an older scent. Youth to mid life for sure.

Definitely might be a off putting scent in spring or summer. Likely good for fall and winter.

Has strong projection and lasts a decent time. Definitely quality.

If you want something that is weird but good. Pick this up. Careful with blind buy. Though if it's a rack store you can just return it.

As an Opening you can feel the fresh crispy Boozy smell of vodka and gin the mint and citrus really really keep it fresh along with the spices which scream "manly" I would classify it as an evening summer scent due to the boozy smell . there are far better alternatives for winter such as CH Extra or CH Prive

One of my favorite party/club fragrances. Sweet, boozy, yet balanced and refreshing.

This is the Halloween Man lover's scent for summer. It's somewhat similar but this one is VERY light and airy to my nose. I mean it's there, but it's very soft and easy to ignore and easily overpowered by other scents. Very alcoholic, in a good way. Also reminds me of Paco Rabanne Pure XS, but again, much much lighter and ozonic. I prefer much louder scents, but the scent is good, it just doesn't project like I'd like it to.

This smell is likeable, but it is very generic in my opinion. I tested this at the same time as Azzaro Wanted by Night, and the latter's performance blew it out of the water. Moreover, WbN was just a far sexier scent in my opinion.

212 VIP is pleasant smelling, its sweetness is a little syrupy, but not too much so, and it's well balanced by the mint and boozy notes. However, overall it feels very young. As of this writing I'm in my early 30s. To me, this smell evokes being in a Vegas club when you're 23 and drinking a $19 mojito or something. In fact, mojito seems fairly apropos for describing the smell of this fragrance.

Further, for what is ostensibly a "club" fragrance, the sillage leaves a lot to be desired. To me, even if you are someone in your early 20s or even younger, I still think you would be much better served going with an option like Ultra Male or Wanted by Night. Particularly if you're a dry-skin type like myself.

Overall 6/10, it's too bad they don't have a "neutral" option on here in between "like" and and "dislike."

I just picked this up in the airport while traveling, as I was looking for something new to wear, and it smelled pretty good. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it reminded me of. But then looking here on Fragrantica, I realized where I've smelled this before. Donald Trump's "Empire," which I own, is pretty much an exact clone of this. I'd have to compare them directly to differentiate them. But either way, I do like this. Time will tell how much so.

I had a question about this fragrance since i'm looking into buying one. Now I've seen a Chrome/silver box and a black box that it comes in and the question I had was, are the fragrances different? You can smell vodka and gin very well, is like to smell a bottle of that, wich is ok. The lime, mint and spices are so pronounced. It's a cocktail on a perfume bottle!
The opening is not the best but the dry down is good.
This perfume could be perfectly from Paco Rabanne because have all of his style.

I blind bought it today at Marshalls. Ive been eyeing it for awhile now, but never pulled the trigger. Saw it for $29.00 for a 1.7oz so I figured why not!?

I'm really into frags for younger guys, especially ones that smell modern and fresh-spicy.

Boy, did I get lucky! Okay, now it's not the greatest deal, but damn, I really, really like this stuff.

I actually wore it tonight, 5 sprays total, and I smelled the wafts for 3 hours....And it was awesome!

I will admit that it does remind me of Paco Rabanne 1 Million, but only for the first 5 min. I was disappointed at first because I thought it was just another 1 million, but as it started to settle, I was surprised.

I definitely get the booziness....Now when I think of boozy, I always think of CH Men Prive or something brown and heavy, but this is clear and fresh-boozy! As it settles, the pepper comes out clean and clear.

It is in the same boat as 1 Million, but it's completely different at the same time. 1 Million is incredibly thick and heavy while this is incredibly thick and fresh somehow!

Highly recommend if your expectations are realistic!

Skin scent for me too... and I feel so bad because I really like the smell... It projects for about 1/2 h, then remains close to the skin for 3-4 hours tops! Too bad...

212 VIP is a boozy and fresh scent. From the start I smell the booze from the vodka and gin, lime, mint and passionfruit. It's sweet but not overwhelming, there's also a bit of sourness to it. I don't understand early comments stating this is a clone or is close to 1 Million. They smell nothing alike.

For me, the scent sits close to the skin with low/medium projection. Longevity is about 4-5 hours for me before I reapply.

Never more than 3 sprays on this beast. If you spray more than 4 and you get pulled over by cops and once you roll down your car window and they smell that strong sweet vodka. I am sure that they will ask you if you have alcohol in your car, if you have been drinking and how much and if you answer “no” to any of their questions. They will probably wouldn’t believe you and will make you get out of your car and do a sobriety test and this is not a joke, it really does have a strong fruity vodka vibe. Imagine doing a sobriety test, because you sprayed too much 212 VIP, that would be really a funny experience. Be gentle on the trigger guys, unless you want to spend your night in a drunk tank. (The getting pulled over by cops and doing sobriety test is just a joke, but this one being a beast is not a joke.)
Not for office or first dates, your boss and your date will think that you’re alcoholic. Club scent only, guys.

I prefer this over Original One Million PR. Just dont over spray and 3 spray is max. Because it speaking louder that anyone else. Make people around you get chocked. Longevity totally great and dont even ask about projection. Totally beast. Glad to have it in my collection.

very sweet, playfull and youthfull fragrance. A cross between ultra male and invictus aqua. citrus, fruity, sweet ideal for going out on warm nights and has very good performance.

I have a large collection, and am in the process of thinning out designer scents I'm not a fan of to make space for Tauers, Nassomattos, Amouages, etc.

However, this is making it in. Holy crap. It reminds me of the modern, high class, young men at exclusive bars in NYC. Pompadours, blazers, cocktails on the rocks. This fragrance has elements of booze, zest, spice and salt. Excellent, a must try.

there are very few scents I find repulsive - this is, unfortunately, one of them...maybe the caviar as an ingredient sounds "posh" to someone as well as the name "VIP" but the result is nasty and tasteless (just my opinion, I guess it may smell nice on someone else)

This could be hands down one of the greatest scents I've known. Incredible smell, however I have to use at least 6 sprays for a couple of hours. Still love it!

Way too sweet for me. Like a pure syrupy sugar sweet, yuck. Even Invictus and 1 Million are tolerable in comparison.

Great nighttime/club scent. The opening isn’t bad, but little bit weird… I get huge dosage of synthetic bubble gum swetness with a bit passionfruit and lime. After the first sniff I thought, right, here is another bubble gum teenage fragrance, but fortunately 10 minutes later this sweetness fades away and I get a wonderful spicy vodka odor. This part of the perfume is really great and so strong! 2-3 hours later, when the mid notes gone I sniff a cool combination of leather, amber and woodsy (mostly rosewood) notes. Except for the first 10 minutes, this perfume is very very good. Highly recommended.

Like many others, I fell appart of the hype train of this fragrance but it doesn't mean that it's a bad fragrance...let me explains.

First, it started with a blast of boozy passion fruit with the smell of cheap minty vodka (nothing wrong). Then, it stays pretty linear with the pepper, ginger and the leather in the background. I understand why it is compared to One million with the bubble gum sweetness vibe, but 1M is more spicy with the cinnamon.

This was my favourite scent back in 2013. Affordable price, good projection, however longetivity and sillage just average.
In my opinion 212 VIP is quite sweet scent in the drydown, definitely for younger crowd. I liked it very much, however there is big similarity to 1 million and all people around me thought I am wearing 1 Million... After reading a bunch of reviews and watching a few vids on VIP men, I decided to go ahead and blind buy it. The bottle is pretty cool too. As for the scent I definitely dig it. I can see the whole club vibe with this one but in all honestly it's not really a loud cologne like say one million. Even though it doesn't smell like 1 million i kinda see it in the same vein as it. But I wouldn't just wear this in a club or bar scene. I can see it's use in other places as long as the temp is cool. Not an office or maybe work scent though. .. Hmmm. Maybe with 1-2 sprays *shrugs* . It's definitely a evening scent but can see use of it later in the afternoon. I haven't tested it out in high heat to see if it can be cloying or not. Anyways as I was smelling my wrist through out a few hours, it started to smell real familiar to me.. I just couldn't put my finger on it because it was a scent i haven't smelled since I tested it years ago. Then it hit me.. Givenchy Play Intense! Just not as sweet. It's especially more apparent during the dry down for me. Overall though I think it's a pretty good fragrance.

First time I smelled 212 VIP was on a card, and really liked the dry-down. I liked it so much that I decided to get a bottle. To me, VIP smells way better than the original CH 212 Men. It's fresh, boozy goodness.

The vibe I get from this is: young, has money, and all about the nightlife. I disagree that this smells like Paco Rabanne's One Million, because I really don't like One Million. Some folks tell me it smells somewhat feminine, but I don't get that perfume vibe.

I kind of get why some people don't like 212 VIP, it has a few notes that make it a odd scent. I become anosmic to the good notes after a bit, so I realize this. I can't tell what they are, but if it didn't have them this would be an ideal fragrance. On the plus side, you'll still smell good to others. Great for outings, wouldn't recommend for intimate encounters.

Love the magnetic cap. The scent itself is pretty unassuming and doesn't scream and shout too much, but I do tend to like fragrances with alcoholic notes contained in them. I have to agree that this fragrance only lasts around 3 or 4 hours on my skin and as I have mentioned already, there is not a huge amount of sillage. Bearing all this in mind, I still really like this. Thumbs up!

212 VIP Men is a heady cocktail of vodka, passion fruit, gin, and mint, all tempered with pepper and spices with a hint of lime and ginger. Quite a complex fragrance.

Some reviews below have called this a Paco Rabanne One Million clone, but I don't see it. It's got a similar nightlife/partying vibe to it, but it's very restrained. While it's perfect for a night out, it's not an in-your-face sort of fragrance.

The only negatives for me are the limited longevity and sillage. I get average longevity of around 3 hours, with moderate sillage.

Just one spray on the wrist from a sample... to me it smells like a Cranberry Cocktail in a room filled with jello shots... i'd wear it - maybe once. I have ruled this out for a possible purchase...

*** I went to a CH store and tried the regular CH Men. I only sprayed on a card but I think it has a similar vibe but mixed much better than the VIP stuff. I didn't care for Privee either but the CH Men is one that I may consider, a much better alternative to 212 VIP IMHO

Can't say I'm too overly enthusiastic about this one. It's a nice smell, quite sweet and playful... but not masculine. This is a feminine scent. If you have tried Flowerbomb by Victor and Rolf? It is similar.

Very special fragrance & very long lasting. Flowers all over the place with the first spray, after that very intense vodka or something like that. Pleasant though.

I sprayed once on my cross by mistake that I wear on my chest and the perfume stayed there over a week.

This is a sweet, candy-like fragrance that fits the clubbing scene the best (wouldn't try wearing it anywhere else). What I get is a lot of passion fruit with a hint of pepper. Interestingly, I can't sense any of the alcohol notes - vodka and gin. Anyway, it a bubblegummy club fragrance that does not stand out in any way, the performance is quite weak and does not last on my skin at all. I would pass on this one and get something better for parties, maybe Ultra Male or Eros.

For me it's a "candy shop" type of smell and in that it resembles Joop Jump! a lot. It's very cheerful and "festive", making you smile and feel good. Impressive longevity.

I must be missing something. This is not different or unique in any way. Boring as hell. Smells like a thousand other scents. Same old fresh ozonic metallic garbage. Pass.

This is fragrance makes you smell wealthy becouse the smell is so unique. the longevity is 24hrs plus and the sillage is very beastly this frag can fill the room anywhere you go. overall the best rich fragrances.

In the time I have been testing and wearing perfumes, this remains the only one I have gotten a compliment of, in a conservative country like mine where compliments on perfumes alone are hard to come by, this is quite a huge achievement. The scent itself doesn't grow on me though, I just cannot bring myself to get past the passionfruit. Otherwise, it must have been quite an appealing scent.

At opening a great mojito vibe and in dry down gorgeous vanilla with white chocolate. There is a synthetic feel from some notes but it smells great. I want to dislike this fragrance as it super popular and i smell it some time from others.. but this is an excellent juice with gourmandish qualities. Excellent projection and longevity.

I've been waiting for quite a while to try out this fragrance but none of my local retailers had it for testing. I was excited to try it out because the note breakdown really interested me. When I finally saw a tester bottle and sprayed it on my skin, I was quite disappointed. In a nutshell, it smells like if you took all the heart and soul out of Paco Rabanne's One Million, you'd get 212 VIP. Big thumbs down.

This fragrance became a watered down version of it's former glorious self. Bought mine last week. Sprayed it on my wrist and noticed how weak this frag has become. Though it stays for quite a while, it doesn't project that well as it did the last time I used it. So much for that. Anyways it's still a good fragrance.

I have taken a sample of this frag from my local sephora. The scent is very nice but is extremly weak.. I have to press my nose on my skin in ordersd to smell it. Why this? Everyone says that this frag is strong... I cant understand

Got this for my brother blindly and I absolutely love it. Great going out/club fragrance. Much Classier than 1 million.

One spray on my wrist at midday amd at 8.30pm its still there.impressed with it.has a one million vibe but much better and more mature.Very nice sour note in there contrasting with the sweetness.

I did not notice vodka or leather and was surprised when I read the note list. To me it's mainly a smooth slightly sweet aquatic with a bit of spice. I love it and were it not for my terror of appearing butch I'd wear it myself. Like most masculine fragrances I've tried it's surprised me with it's strength and adhesive qualities. I wash my hands.. and it's still there! How do they do that? Only a few of my women's perfumes last the day and washing would certainly get rid of them. I would've avoided this if I'd read the note list first. Caviar? Seriously? I don't detect any and my first thought on this stuff was actually oh good it's not got the modern salt note in it, it's not marine, just aquatic. It's quite clean, thanks to the mint and lime I expect. Wouldn't describe it as especially "explosive" either. But then I only sprayed once lightly.

I have to agree with many of the guys pointing out that the drydown is much better than the opening! As a matter of fact, I don't really enjoy the opening blast at all... thank God this develops into such a nice scent after an hour or so. Sweet and warm in the nicest way.

I sense a fruity vibe accompanied by a mix of spices + mint. I don't get the woody notes at all tbh.

Even if I'm not a huge fan of sweet scents overall, one has to recognize when a fragrance is well made and I definitely believe this is one of them! Great for clubbing, nights out, well suited to the colder months but, IMO, can be pulled off at summer/spring nights as well. It will shine at winter though.

Oh wow, I wasn't too impressed with the opening, but damn this dries down to a stunning smell - can't stop sniffing the top of my wrist! I wore this to work after spraying it on in a store during lunch - not too suited to that environment. It's pretty loud and feels like a great clubbing scent.

Will have to definitely seek this one out :)

Anabol2336 - I don't drink either and in my opinion this does not smell like Vodka! I imagine people are thinking it's like taking a bottle of vodka and pouring it on them, but it's just not the case in my opinion.

I see the similarity with Million on this one particularly with the offensive synthetic blast it gives off. And seriously folks, let's replace vodka with rubbing alcohol as a main ingredient lol. Blind bought for $70 Canadian, and there's no way I can be wearing this Cologne. It's a shame. Headache in a bottle. The bottle is beautiful though.

Sensational! 212 VIP Men Carolina Herrera is a male sweet scent very easy to go to the top 10 of any underwear that prizes for good contemporary flavors. Besides having a sweetness behaved it stands out because of an Oriental background with alcoholics touches that come and go around the wearer forming a nice cloud referring to well-plated man smell, well dressed and polite. Its opening has a delicious citrus for a minute give the answer that volatizará fragrance and not the result of anything, however, the Caviar is emerging and joining a face skin cream smell, due to the Passiflora (flower passion fruit), responsible for this aromatic sensation, besides being means ardidazinha its output, means spicy, delicious! Then it evolves into a warm Oriental, male and drunk projecting enough, and passing a feeling of confidence by the presence that comes to impose at this stage, which also makes aromatic due to the chilled and live Hortelãzinha. It follows following and reaches at its base a divine sweet aroma because of the Amber giving a federal heated it, along with a note reminiscent of the leather jacket in a slightly damp woody base. The vodka note is very noticeable. I cant get past the astringent smell of alcohol. This reminds me of strong fruity drinks you could buy at clubs. The passion fruit is borderline cloying.

The concept of this fragrance is very cool and is executed well. Longevity and silage both above average and girls do seem to like it, but i just don't. 5/10

Great bottle ... ordinary fragance ... Dissapoint me! Gin/vodka??? Please!

This scent has many others give off the same vibe but smell different. The XS Black series from Paco Rabanne and the Diesel FFL scents. These scents are long lasting,playful,energetic and youthful. 212 VIP maybe a bit more mature than the others because of the vodka and gin notes but the sweetness is acknowledged well in the dry down which mainly consists of amber. I also think it's a step above the scents mentioned prior and appeals to a broader audience as most people over 40 are more familiar with Paco than Diesel. Excellent performance and worthy of being in any man's collection.

212 VIP Men by Carolina Herrera opens with an amazing burst of fruits and spices; alcohol (gin/vodka) and wood are also noticable, and sometimes I get a hint of soap in there too. It smells very nice, in small doses. If you over-do-it, the scent becomes too sharp and sweet and can be quite sickly.

I apply two sprays - hitting the chest and a wrist and I find this makes me smell fairly potent, but not obnoxiously in your face. It's quite a safe fragrance when applied like this. Women have favourably responded to the scent - once in the supermarket; another when out in London on the street.

It's a very cost-effective fragrance for me, as I don't feel it appropriate to wear too often, and a little goes a long way.

It lasts long and projects very well. It is classy and has layers to it. A fun and funky fragrance overall. It's not a mind-blowing scent, but gets a comfortable 8/10 from me.

The ginger is very prominent in the beginning. The fragrance itself is fresh like Creed Aventus with a sharp undertone of ginger. It dries down to a slightly sweet mess of notes. Definitely better than Creed Aventus and 1 Million, even if I don't smell any similarities.

It's a bitter, sweet and fruity sense and smell great with very good longevity more than 12 hours but unfortunately sillage is moderate not heavy at all!

This is better than 1 Million. More seductive and elegant ! I own both and compare it day by day.

In my top ten for sure. Ladies love this one because of the sweet factor i guess. Great scent. That passion fruit really comes out an delivers the sweetness. I get a little amber, pepper and mint in there too. Lasts all day on me. I prefer this over CH Men which i know is another crowd favorite from them.

Will be giving this one away, far too overpowering for my liking.

A great clubbing perfume. it has one million vibe but its way better than one million. Longevity is really good. Definitely a panty dropper.

A friend of mine has this and it smelled nice on him with pretty great performance so I decided to try it. Turns out that this gives me pretty bad allergies. It still smelled decent and the performance was good it's just that I wish it wasn't because the whole day I had a runny nose.

This is a fun scent to me because it makes me feels like young again. It's safe yet not to strong. It's good against hot weather. I recommend this to younger crowd. I don't own a lot of 212 fragrance but this is my second one to own from CH. Great for hanging out and dinner with friends late night clubbing and bars and last pretty good.

I don't care how sweet this is, it still needs 90 plus degrees to perform well, the cooler the weather this seems to only disappear very fast but in heat this last all day and projects ok but only when you heat up so turn the AC off for 5 minutes and boom it's back.

I have not encountered any woman who does not like 212 VIP. I even dare to wear it at work (a large financial firm) and received several complements from my younger colleagues. It stays and projects very well on both fabric and skin. I much prefer this to 1 million.

People say it's a 1 Million's clone. i can see the similarities in the vibe, but whereas 1 million smells like sweet, cheap, 16 years old girl fragrance, 212 VIP smells like a sexy drunk man...jajjajaaj, ok i realise it's a weird analogy, but if you put this one on, you will be ready for a fun night out in the club, bar, pub or wherever the night may take you.

Women absolutely love this one, and why shouldn't they?, it is a fun, sweet, and "licorish" scent, that invites everyone around you to realise how fun you are.

But don´t get me wrong, this is not only a clubbing scent. it is strong yes, but not as strong as 1 million or A*Men. People would dfinitely smell you, but with a few sprays you would't choke them up.

It is sweet yes, but has some sour notes that contrasts with it's sweetness, making it more wereable outside the club....just be careful on the trigger please!

the only thing i don´t like, is this metalic note in the dry down, that annoys my nose.

Released in 2011, many think that it came in response to the success of 212 Men (now renamed to 212 Men NYC). Obviously, one thing is linked to another, but it was created to make a pair with the female version, released 1 year earlier. The concept, as well as the slogans, remained the same: "Are you on the list?" and "This is a private party.", which reflects the style and attitude of its users.

The official composition brings notes of Caviar lime (I will explain ahead), frozen Mint and black pepper, in the output. In the heart of the fragrance, a cocktail of chilled vodka, ginger, and apple slices. In the base, notes of King wood, salty amber, and tonka beans.

But what is that Caviar lime? Is the Citrus Australasica - a plant with citrus fruits, peculiar format and fully differentiated pulp, which looks like caviar, but does have a citrus flavor. It can have various colors and is also known as Finger lime.
You need to be careful with what you read out there because, according to some websites, the fragrance would have notes of lime and caviar, separately. There are also, those who state the presence of passion fruit (top) and leather (base). I couldn't find anything about it on the official page of the brand.

On the skin, the output is fruity and slightly sweet. Then, quickly, cold accords arise, balancing the sweet aspect. There is a mixture of citrus and ginger, but I didn't feel the apple note.

All the times in which I returned with my nose to the place where I sprayed, I felt the Mint well evident, along with the alcohol content. The amber added creaminess, even more by the fact of being allied with the aroma of tonka beans. But there is, indeed, a salty aspect in it. Finally, the King wood gave a drier smell to the fragrance.

On my skin, it projects well for about 2 hours, then stays close. But the lasting is good, of approximately 8 hours. And the bottle followed the same style of 212 Men, wrapped by a metallic silver finish, bringing the magnetic cap. The 200ml versions come in a glass bottle.

This one is a definitely a great scent, and definitely in the whole, "Paco Rabane One Million" or "Jesus Del Pozo Halloween Man" group. If we are talking pure dry down, it actually is identical to those two.

The difference is in the top notes. One Million and Halloween have this cinnamon/bubble gum type top note which makes those two more suitable for the under 30 crowd. Those two are loud and work best for clubbing. 212 VIP has a boozy/vodka/cocktail/slightly minty group of top notes, which to me makes it more versatile. While it is certainly more of a younger guy's fragrance, it absolutely can be pulled of by someone 30 and over as well.

It can be worn not only for a night out, but family fuctions, work (if not over applied), more intimate encounters, even just for a day hanging out at home with friends and family.

If you are into One Million, but getting a bit more mature in your age; Definitely give 212 VIP a shot

I'm a girl and I would like to have it, Had a sample 4 years ago. And remember this smell until now, I want to try this again. And women version is super cool also. This line is something amazing.

Good one but cannot call it amazing, sweetness is dominated longevity is good but not projection.

Quality can be seen not at all cheap perfume.

I got 50 ml bottle, after I finish will I buy it again, not sure.

212 Vip is a great fragrance, it really is. I can see the one million comparisons, the fruity, bubblegum, leather and spicy vibe but 212 is better. One million could be repulsive, offensive and overwhelming while 212 vip is a subtle version therefore could be use in more occasions, not just clubbing.
Longevity: about 8 hours, good projection.
Overall:7/10

By the way there is a cheap copy of 212 vip with exactly the same notes in the database called Nuit Extreme Pour Homme by Alta Moda if you want to try it.

I boutght this for my dad, and when he refused to touch it, I took it with me (I'm a girl) and I love it! It's so sexy and my boyfriend loves it too. Just a little spray behind the ears and you smell delicious. Must try the for her soon!
